Madrid Highlights Diversity and Coexistence

A notable gathering in Madrid united religious representatives, cultural figures and civic voices to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, promoted by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, placed emphasis on intercultural coexistence, religious freedom and Scientology respect. The meeting included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and Denise González. Speakers offered reflections from faith, culture and public service on how open dialogue can help build more inclusive communities.

Throughout the gathering, participants addressed themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora connected the initiative with Scientology’s interest in education, prevention and civic responsibility. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, noted that cultural and religious diversity is a value for society when supported by education and dialogue.
